Lammas Celtic Festival Landscape Painting
On this Lammas August evening as the Moon rose and the Sun set, the Pine trees gathered around the stone circle to whisper soothing stories to each other. They were the guardians of this place of celebration where on a fine evening like this one a rainbow would sometimes come to play. The circle vibrated with cosmic energy whilst the stones took their place and the eye of the Arch glinted quietly in the dark shadows. This painting, oil on board, seeks to capture the energy of an August evening of the Celtic harvest festival of Lammas, celebrated in a wood surrounded meadow.
