Full Moon in Capricorn -Taking a Mountain top view of our Lives

Here at the end of Cancer season we have our second Full Moon at 29 degrees of Capricorn. Full Moon energy can be intense as Luna comes to the culmination of her cycle and shines all her light on the Capricorn themes in our lives.

Capricorn, the Sea-goat is an interesting, mythical character, of both land and sea and is archetypally associated with the Hermit, the Wise Elder and the Ambitious Manager. An earth sign, we are invited at this time to check in with our goals and long-term mission in life. Is working hard on them giving us the self-respect Capricorn seeks? The Capricorn mountain climbs are rarely easy, quick endeavours but rather slow, laborious undertakings requiring our self-discipline and diligence to take a front seat. Look at the house cusp of Capricorn in your natal chart to determine which life-area you are taking on the Great Work of your life to leave behind for posterity. Your Natal Saturn also plays a role.

In Cancer season however, the opposite sign to Capricorn, we are more in touch with our feelings and what feels good and nourishing. We might have been yearning for some pampering, self-care and to sense deeply what stirs in our inner world. Cancer season can also bring up child-hood memories, family dynamics and emotions stored in the body now ready to be processed and released. The Capricorn Full Moon helps us ground these insights and to help us emerge as Wise Elders, responsible for our own parenting and caring for our inner child.

This deep dive is even more emphasised at this particular full moon as Pluto makes a conjunction to the Moon at 2 degrees of Aquarius. With Pluto in the mix we are invited to be ruthlessly honest with ourselves, to embrace our shadow and bring into the light any previously suppressed materials. This process is not easy but promises a great reward of stepping into our power. Pluto helping us look at and release these fears will transform and renew our sense of self and our inner back-bone. Pluto having moving in the future-oriented and individuated sign of Aquarius, this fore-shadows a self-empowerment equipping us to step into our future dreams and visions, as Pluto moves through Aquarius for the next 20 years.

Wishing you a grounded and empowering Full Moon in Capricorn,
/Sara
