Pisces Lunar Eclipse -Connecting to a Magical Life
Eclipse season is here!
As we move into the second eclipse season of 2024, we start off with a Full Moon in Pisces, a Lunar Eclipse, at 26 degrees of Pisces.
Eclipses are associated with endings and new beginnings and was one of the first heavenly movements correlated with earthly events back in ancient Babylonia as they synchronistically marked major turning points on a national scale.
In the chart these charged up lunations work with the transiting Nodes, of what we are releasing (South node) and what is trying to emerge (North node), which is why, if connecting with your personal planets, they can have a fated effect.
With this Lunar eclipse in Pisces, working with the North node in Aries, there is an opening up and an emergence in accordance with this sign. Pisces a mutable, feminine, water sign and the last sign of the zodiac, ruled by Neptune and Jupiter. Pisces is where we leave our little personal egos behind and tap into the cosmic energy of the universe. It is an energy of unconditional love, compassion, unity and connection to Source. Pisces is linked with the archetype of the Mystic, the Poet and the Dreamer and holds an ability to be a channel and vessel for the Divine, however that presents itself to you.
With the Moon in Pisces at this eclipse also being conjunct Neptune, one of its rulers, there seems to be an emphasis on connecting to spirituality in some way and perhaps having a breakthrough. An example could be a heightened sense of intuition guiding you. Perhaps an intensification of night-time dreams or picking up on energetic currents in the collective unconscious.
With Piscean and Neptunian energy strong here, it is a time for listening quietly, perhaps in nature, perhaps in meditation, to hear the subtle whispers of the imaginal realm or the voices of the angels, guides or ancestors all around.
Prayer, mantra or incantations might spontaneously form inside you at this time, voicing your inner most longings and dreams, feeling strongly a connection with your Higher Self or Soul.
In Psychosynthesis we work frequently with the Imagination, guiding clients on inner visualisation journeys where the spaciousness and void of the unknown brings in new insights and understanding from beyond the conscious mind.
However, with the sun in Virgo opposite the moon, as always at a full moon, we are also holding this inner expansion within the everyday, earthly reality of routines, chores and the notion of wanting to be of Service. Virgo does well when the mind is balanced with the body, kept in motion, through perhaps walking, swimming, gardening or focusing on a craft. Hence, there seems to be indicated here that we harness the Piscean energy of spiritual awareness and imagination in order to offer this up to the world through a little ritual or a skilful craft or method carefully honed.
As the North node reaches this point of 26 degrees of Pisces in January of 2025, we will probably have more of an idea of how this might manifest, however, some bright illumination or indeed felt sense of what is to come, might well be gifted to us at this time.
